A hidden gem by the sea
We were enchanted by the beautiful gardens that surrounded our room. The excellent bartenders crafted good cocktails, made our evenings nice.
The hotel's isolation meant that without a car, we felt a bit captive. Limited dining options outside the hotel made us venture further for meals.

The fine private beach access was a true highlight, nice for peaceful sunbathing and swimming without the crowds.
The air conditioning in the room was quite loud, making it hard to sleep during the night.

Location, sea
Breakfast was poor, slow service in the restaurant.

missingWrote a review on 20 Octpoor serviceoverpriced dining
The lifeguard was so aggressive and rude, it was quite shocking, and to top it off, the food was just ok, with overpriced dinners leaving much too be desired, i almost considered giving a good review, but the lack of basic customer service ruined it all. Absolutely disapointing experience here!

The location, a previous happy stay.
The Hotel did not have the room with balcony that we had booked. Staff then wanted to charge for an upgrade to a room without a balcony. When we rejected this another receptioist tried again to get us to pay extra. When we showed the Booked.net confirmation to be clear that we had reserved a room with balcony the receptioinst treated us like we were stupid and started to argue. She dismissed us by saying she would speak to the manager but not for 2 hours. It became clear that our booked room was being used for guests requesting a a late check out. Five hours later when we were getting ready to go out the staff then tried to move us into the room that they had previously denied was availlable. ( the people with the late check out had left) Our stay was ruined by the way we were treated.I Do not understand how hotels can foist inferior rooms on online bookers. . We did not get the service we expect from a good hotel and are concerned that our booking was not honoured.I Hope that booking .com can investigate as other bookers may be ripped off too

But do watch out for those wild pigs rummaging through the trash-perfect if you're looking for unexpected animal encounters, not so great for a serene evening stroll.

Location is great, fantastic view
It is okay to stay here for couple nights, but I would not stay here for a long vacation. Breakfast is average. I think hotel needs to improve its facilities a little bit.

Stunning views came with a sense of tranquility, especially from the well-appointed balcony. The staff was friendly, and the location near Capo Caccia was indeed picturesque. The limited dining options made it necessary to travel for meals, which detracted a bit from the experience.

comfortable stay but lacked variety in breakfast
The location was perfect. I enjoyed the beautiful sea view from my balcony, made mornings special. The gym offers adequate equipment, allowing a good workout.
The breakfast selection remained limited throughout my stay.

The hotel is situated in a somewhat isolated place surrounded only by sea and mountains, with 10-15 minutes drive to the airport and the city of Alghero. The bus stop is just outside the hotel so it is very easy to get to the city and to Capo Caccia (the main sightseeing of the Alghero district - the Neptun grotto). The beach is rocky and vast. The platforms with sun beds and shelters are far from each other so you can enjoy calm and privacy. The cuisine is very good with lots of fish and seafood. Four course dinner in the restaurant is offered at good price (32 euro comparing to 45-55 euro in the city).
The hotel offers no entertainment at all, that makes it a bit boring for a long stay. We wished they organized some live music or performances in the evenings because all you can do there is to go to the bar/restaurant, or watch tv in the room (with a pretty bad selection of English channels by the way). The natural park Porto Conte is worth visiting once or twice but its entrance is 15 minutes walk from the hotel and there is really not much to see. Also the beach management could be better. Sometimes we could not find a place because many people came early in the morning, stayed for a few hours and then just left their towels on sun beds till the end of the day. The hotel manager told us that that was unlawful but the towels were never removed. The room with a garden view was pretty small, with a tiny closet and only one chair. We had an impression they gave us a single room for two persons. The soap and shampoo were surprisingly basic for a 4stars hotel (bad smell, no hair conditioner and body lotion)
